We are glad to announce that the International Conference on Bio-based Polymers and Composites conference series is continuing in 2026!

Our first International Conference on Bio-based Polymers and Composites (BiPoCo) was organized in 2012, focusing on the characterization, modification, and application of biopolymers. The success of the conference initiated the organization of three subsequent events in 2014 (Visegrád), 2016 (Szeged), and 2018 (Balatonfüred), respectively. The scope of the conference has been extended along the way with topics on smart, nano-structured systems for delivery and controlled release, with particular attention paid to the biomedical application of polymers. Regretfully, BiPoCo 2020 had to be canceled due to all the uncertainty and severe restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The positive feedback received from the participants of former meetings and all the friendly requests to continue with this tradition, however, encouraged us to bring BiPoCo back: in 2024, the 5th conference was organized in Esztergom, Hungary.

Now, for the first time, we decided to bring the conference to Budapest. We hope that our old friends and new participants alike will enjoy the venue and our beautiful city!
